The New England Classic volunteer crew, collectively, has probably driven or cycled every mile of highway, byway and off the beaten path back road in every state in New England. We’ve always done this with a purpose: to give you the best possible cycling routes, and to find the best possible overnight lodgings along the way.

We look for places with great customer service that are willing and able to accommodate the number of riders and volunteers we have on the NEC, and also provide a hearty dinner and breakfast. We want air-conditioned lodgings in peaceful and scenic locations, easy to get in and out of without having to dodge lots of traffic. They have to be reasonably priced, since our primary purpose is to raise money for a great cause. And they must be well-situated to enable us to ride our routes.
For 2026, we are changing the ride so that instead of picking six different places to stay, we are only picking one. Our routes will be loops, originating at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Dover, NH, a hotel that meets all of our expectations.
The all-you-can-eat breakfast and dinner menus will vary, but all will feature healthy choices chosen with calorie-consuming cyclists in mind! Lunch is on your own each day, but we will try to provide good suggestions for places you might want to stop. There will also be two, three, or four rest stops along each day’s route, stocked with water, Gatorade, sweet and salty snacks, and fruit.
Accomodation information
For 2026, accommodations for two-day and four-day riders at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Dover, New Hampshire are included. This expense is covered as part of your minimum fundraising requirement and your room (double-occupancy) will be reserved by the NEC — you don’t need to do anything else other than complete your fundraising and enjoy the ride! The one-day NEC does not include overnight accommodations.
Some riders may plan to arrive on Friday, the night before the ride. The Comfort Inn & Suites has reserved a special-rate block of rooms for this group, but you must book the room yourself and you are responsible for the cost. Below is the link for booking a room for Friday, July 10, 2026:
