Ok, so we’ve piqued your interest. But how does a one-day, two-day or four-day cycling adventure really work? If you have been on our two-day or seven-day rides in previous years, you know the answer is “Really, really well!”
New England boasts some of the best cycling anywhere: peaceful country roads winding along the ocean, rivers, and quiet forests as you pass through quaint little towns and villages. All this, and more, will be part of your adventure!
The New England Classic bike routes have something for everyone. On Day 1 cyclists will enjoy the quiet backroads of Exeter and Hampton Falls, NH with a return via the New Hampshire sea coast and the historic city of Portsmouth.
On Day 2 riders will take in the beauty of the iconic southern Maine coast, as well as the scenic roads of southern York County.
Day 3 offers a century ride that traverses the quaint roads and rural hills of New Hampshire’s Strafford and Rockingham Counties, with the back half of the route being “New Hampshire flat” for a pleasant ride back to Dover through Newfields, Newmarket, and Durham, NH.
The ride heads to the “Great White North” for Day 4, which we are confident will not be white in July. The route travels through the rural backroads of southwestern York County. And, although the profile may look hilly, the route averages below 43 feet per mile.
Finally, every day there is a shorter distance option available that maintains the characteristics of the longer routes.
