Good morning everyone!
We had a really great day yesterday, and while a few people had problems in the afternoon when the sun broke through the clouds, everyone made it in safely to the Ramada and neighboring Days Inn. We had a delicious catered dinner with Chicken Parm, monstrous salads loaded with great veggies other than lettuce, and a dessert of not one, but TWO birthday cakes to celebrate John and Nancy’s special day.
Most agree that the mileage was off on the cue sheets yesterday, and instead of 77 miles, the general consensus is that it was closer to 84 miles. Today is a slightly shorter day for them, and while I’m not positive right now, it’s somewhere between 65 and 70.
Our two day riders will sadly complete their journey today at UNE in Biddeford- For many, the biggest challenge their sense of adventure has led them to, and they will return home to their friends and family tonight with a new level of self confidence they did not possess two short days ago.
The riders are presently having breakfast, and I have a truck to load before I make my way north- So to you, dear reader, I wish that you have a great day- I know WE will!
Keep the wind at your back, and the downhills in front of you
