Thought this message could be a useful/effective prank for potential riders/donors!
“Well hello there!
I have exciting news! I just wanted to let you know that I signed you up to ride 500+ miles with me for the New England Classic Tour de Cure starting in Woburn, MA on July 9-15th. We will approximately 75 miles each day for seven days (with a century ride in the middle). Go ahead and plan on taking the whole week off, but don’t worry about lodging as it’s all taken care of (as well as meals). This will be a wonderful and exciting week, and I am so glad you will be joining me! I’ve got plans to help you start your training tomorrow, and I have a nice 30 mile route planned for us. You can meet me at 6 a.m. – make sure to bring your bike helmet, water bottle and a few snacks!
April Fool’s!
I didn’t register you to ride – but you are still welcome to join me or support me!
I will be participating in the New England Classic Tour de Cure 150 & 500+ this July. I have committed to riding over 500 miles during the week and raising $2,500 to support diabetes programs, camps, and research. I am gearing up (pun intended) along with thousands of other men and women across the country with their Tour de Cure events for one simple goal – to end this deadly disease. Although I did not register you to ride, I still need your support! Every donation made helps to positively impact our community. With your support, we will forever alter the lives of those affected by diabetes.
Ways you can support me:
1. Make a donation to me via my webpage: http://main.diabetes.org/goto/ryanwilliams2011
2.Contact me to mail in a check donation.
3.Post my URL on Facebook/Twitter and ask your friends/followers to support me.
4. Join me for http://main.diabetes.org/nectourdecure
With every dollar you give and every mile I ride, we’re that much closer to finding a cure for diabetes.
Thank you for your support. I know together we are fighting for a CURE!
Happy April Fool’s Day!”
Hope this helps! Feel free to edit to your needs!
~Ryan
