Hi gang, me again…
Barbara S. had a great idea a few years ago, and until last year, I could never figure out how to make it happen… But, now, with the website that Todd made, the realization of her brilliant idea is upon us, without me actually having to do much. If I was smarter, I would’ve figured it out earlier.
Barbara’s idea: (Which she actually self started, hence the Kokomo Bull-shirt contest) Everyone comes to the NEC from their own area- You may have a local landmark, legendary eatery, tourist attraction, heck, even a hole-in-the-wall plumbing shop… Your employer might even be willing to donate something.
While you’re out fundraising, Ask them if they’d donate one of their T-shirts/coffee mugs/beer glasses for a raffle prize on the NEC.
We have riders from literally all over the country, and not only is it a great way to get a new t-shirt, but “Bob’s BBQ” t-shirts might be the new rage in Indiana, Washington State, New Jersey, New York, Maryland… You get the point.
(I’d LOVE to take credit for this idea, but all accolades fall on Barbara S’s shoulders)
If everyone brings something from their area, it’d be a nice addition to the nightly raffles.
I’d also like to add Cycling stuff to this years raffles- Maybe you got a cycling gift that you’ll never use, or a (Unused) cycling t-shirt or jersey that didn’t fit, or that you’ll never wear.
Can you bring something?
Just my thoughts, (Expanding on Barb’s ideas)

I already have this year’s Kokomo bull shirt packed!
I’m hoping to bring something nicer from the Kokomo Opalescent Glass shop (http://www.kog.com/Hot/Fossils.html) just to let you all know that beautiful things come from Kokomo also.
And, yes, Jim and Gearman, I MIGHT bring some homemade cookies…..
YAAAY FOR COOKIES!
