If you’re reading this, you probably read all sorts of cycling blogs and are familiar with the Fat Cyclist, Eldon Nelson. We’ve all been entertained by Fatty’s wit and humor, but also his frankness and openness in sharing Susan’s ordeal with the world. Who hasn’t been on a ride without seeing at least one pink Fat Cyclist “Win Susan” jersey?
If you don’t know by now, Eldon’s wife, Susan succumbed to a particularly vicious form of breast cancer on August 5.
We at NEC join the rest of the cycling community in mourning her loss and our hearts and thought go out to Eldon and the children, Nigel (15), Brice (13) and Katie and Carrie (7).
