Apologies for such a late response to many of your “Thank You Gift” questions. The budget for “Thank You” prizes was omitted from this year’s event. Thank You Gifts can be a huge strain on the bottom-line of an event as they are taken against the fundraising for which all of the cyclists have worked so hard. Whereas I feel everyone’s hard work and efforts should be recognized, I think that I can find a more appropriate way to give thanks to those that give so much of themselves. I’m hoping to dust off plans to have a Recognition Event in the Fall. Once I’m back from ADA Camp Carefree, reaching out to everyone is my number one priority (number two is making sure all the vendors/bills are paid and happy, number three is restocking all the bag-balm canisters).
I hope that everyone understands our position in regards to focusing your fundraising dollars back towards the mission – to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all those affected by diabetes. Each of you a rockstars, and the kids I’ll be working with at camp, the kids that are benefiting directly from all your good works agree with me and thank you.
Cheers!
~Ryan (Your Friendly Neighborhood ADA Guy)
