Day 3 again

Monday, Day 3, 2:00 PM Attitash Grand Summit, Bartlett, NH

Hi again,
I found the guest computer that Todd was talking about in an earlier post, and am seated in a room slightly larger than the computer in it… But I’m just explainin’, not complainin’.

We arrived in the gear-truck at just about 12:30- about 10 minutes before the first two riders, Brad apple-sauce and John Pisketti arrived. The hotel staff, in their typical accomodating fashion, had placed cones across several parking spaces to leave us a place for the gear-truck to park near where the riders would be getting their luggage, storing their bikes, and eating dinner and breakfast.  As of this writing, about 12 riders are finished, and a brief (10 minute) line of significant rain has blown through-

Many of the finished riders are signing up for massages, available in house, and others are exploring the upstairs sandwich shop called the “Black DIamond Grill”… If you ever come here, their fruit sorbet is to DIE for!

More later, in the meantime, back to work.

A warning to all you first year riders:

Don’t schedule a massage around dinner time. They don’t always keep to their schedules very well and you DO NOT want to miss out on the stuffed fish. It are teh awesome! And it goes fast.

One of these days, I’ll get my butt back on the bike to join you crazies. The best part of the Tour de Cure is Gearman with his cold refreshments at the conclusion of the days journey. Ambrosia nectar from the lips of Venus – just saying.

Hello to Team – New England Classics (goofy name – I don’t know what was wrong with Team Adipose!)
