Greetings From The Chair

As a veteran of the last sixteen New England Classic events, both as a rider and a volunteer, I have found the NEC definitely to be a great time (new friends and beautiful scenery), as well as a great ride that raises much needed funds for our fight to find a cure for diabetes. The American Diabetes Association’s New England Classic bicycle tour has raised well over $2 million dollars since it started in 1992, and our goal is to raise the next $2 million dollars as quickly as possible. I am asking for your help to reach this important goal. So please take a few moments, commit yourself to this effort, register to participate, and get your friends, family and co-workers to support you. You may even find that some of them want to be a rider or a volunteer for the event. I always say, the more the merrier. Start up a team, give it a name, and challenge yourselves to personal goals. As you can tell, I care about this effort, and I am committed to finding a cure for this terrible disease. If you want to help us reach this goal simply register on this web page – just use the link to the right. Should you have any questions about the ride, please feel free to contact me at 1-860-447-1791 extension 4916 or via my email address, william.a.lacy@dom.com. Thank you for your support, and I look forward to seeing you in July 2008 as we strive to support the ADA in their efforts to find a cure for diabetes!!
